The Director's Cut

I think a person's life should be like a DVD. You could see the version that everyone else sees, or you could choose the director's cut – the way he wanted you to see it before everything else got in the way. There would probably be a menu, so you could start from the good points and not have to relive the bad ones. You could measure your life by the number of scenes you survived, or the minutes you were stuck in them. But probably life is more like one of those silly security footage. Grainy, no matter how hard you try to look. And repeated: the same things over and over.
